Bio-Hazard and Hazardous Material Removal
Certified decontamination of meth-affected properties, hazardous material removal and trauma cleanup across the Denver metro area.
State-Certified Decontamination
Colorado requires a certified contractor for meth decontamination. Property owners are not permitted to do it themselves.
Clearance Testing Documented
The property is not clean until independent sampling proves it. You get the results in writing.
Discreet Response
Unmarked vehicles on request. Your neighbors do not need to know what happened.
Contamination You Cannot See or Smell
Meth residue soaks into drywall, carpet, insulation and duct work. It does not wash off and it does not fade with time. A property can look and smell completely normal and still fail a clearance test.
Colorado does not let you handle it yourself, and it does not let the same company test the property and clean it. Those are two separate firms by regulation.
Landlords and Property Managers
A contaminated unit documented, decontaminated and returned to service
How the Work Runs
- Independent certified consultant samples the property
- Scope and decontamination plan built from those results
- Containment established and affected contents removed
- Surfaces, ventilation and plumbing decontaminated
- Independent clearance sampling
- Reports filed with the state and the property released
What We Handle
Regulated decontamination and hazardous material removal for property owners, managers and families across metro Denver.
Meth-Affected Properties
Former labs, and properties where meth was used heavily over time. The same regulation covers both.
Post-Bust Decontamination
A law enforcement action at the property triggers mandatory testing under Colorado law.
Rental Turnovers
For landlords who inherit a contaminated unit and need it back in service with documentation.
HVAC and Duct Decontamination
Ventilation carries residue through the entire building. It is decontaminated as its own scope.
Contents and Furnishings
Soft materials absorb residue. What can be treated is treated, what cannot is documented and disposed of.
Trauma and Unattended Death
Handled quietly, with respect for the property and the people connected to it.
Hoarding and Severe Contamination
Cleared in stages, with the occupant involved wherever that is possible.
Regulated Waste Disposal
Packaged, manifested and delivered to a permitted facility.
Questions People Actually Ask
Can I clean it up myself?
Not for meth contamination. Colorado requires decontamination to be performed by a state-certified contractor, and do-it-yourself sampling is not permitted either. This is one of the few areas where the state removes the option entirely.
Can you test the property as well as clean it?
No, and by regulation no one can. Colorado requires that the consultant who samples the property be independent from the contractor who decontaminates it. We will refer you to a certified consultant and work from their results.
It was never a lab. Someone just used there. Does that still count?
Yes. Contamination occurs when meth is smoked inside a property, not only when it is manufactured. The regulation treats both the same way, and so does a clearance test.
What counts as clean?
A certified sample below 0.5 micrograms per 100 square centimeters. That number is the finish line, not our opinion of when the job looks done.
Do I have to decontaminate, or are there other options?
Colorado gives the property owner a choice: clean the property to state standards, or demolish it. For most buildings decontamination is the far cheaper path, but we will tell you honestly if yours is the exception.
Someone died in the house. Where do I start?
Call us and tell us the address. We will explain what the work involves and roughly how long it takes, and then leave you to decide. There is no charge for that conversation and no follow-up calls unless you ask for them.
Will anyone know you were here?
Not from us. We can arrive in unmarked vehicles, and we do not discuss addresses or clients with anyone.
Where We Work
Most of our work happens across the Denver metro area: Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton, Centennial, Englewood, Littleton and Commerce City, across Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties.
We also travel. Westworth takes projects anywhere within approximately 180 miles of Denver, which covers most of Colorado including Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Greeley, Pueblo, Glenwood Springs and the mountain communities in between.
Outside that radius, call anyway and we will tell you whether we can take it.
